The Writing Revolution

This video showcases dynamic classroom interactions at Monroe, highlighting student engagement and effective teaching strategies. As part of the post-production team, I played a key role in shaping the initial draft by assembling B-roll, lower thirds, and captions, setting the foundation for the final edit. My contributions included selecting and integrating compelling footage—some of which I recorded myself—such as the moment where a teacher poses a question, prompting eager student participation. I also refined graphic elements to enhance storytelling. This project was a collaborative effort, where my edits and visual structuring helped bring the narrative to life before finalization. 

In this video, I recorded and edited an insightful interview with the principal of PS 21, who discusses the significant improvements in the school's academic performance, particularly the increases in the ELA 3rd grade passing rate and math scores. The principal shares his experiences and strategies that contributed to this success, providing valuable insights into effective educational practices.

As part of this project, I not only conducted the interview but also filmed and integrated various B-roll clips to enhance the narrative. Additionally, I designed the graphics to support key points throughout the video, ensuring a polished and professional presentation. This video effectively highlights the school's achievements and the principal's leadership, showcasing the positive impact on student learning outcomes

This video celebrates the winner of the 24' Black History Month (BHM) writing contest hosted by The Writing Revolution. It highlights the outstanding essay about Tomi Adeyemi, showcasing insightful reflections and admiration for the acclaimed author.

In this project, I created engaging graphics to visually represent the writing and the key themes of the essay. Additionally, I integrated captions throughout the video to enhance accessibility and ensure that the powerful words resonate with viewers. This video not only honors the achievement but also promotes the importance of celebrating diverse voices and contributions in literature.
